With history
The Dragon Tree (El Drago Milenario) in Icod de los Vinos, Tenerife, is an ancient and iconic Dracaena draco estimated to be 800–1,000 years old, standing about 20 meters tall with a massive, hollow trunk. It is housed within the Parque del Drago, a 3-hectare park showcasing this remarkable tree alongside other endemic Canary Islands plants and cultural exhibits related to the island’s indigenous heritage. The tree is a national monument and symbol of Tenerife, attracting many visitors who come to admire its unique form and learn about local natural history. The park offers guided tours and educational displays, making it a must-visit destination for those exploring Tenerife.

The Volcano
La Cañada is a verdant, historically rich area near La Laguna that connects Tenerife’s green Monteverde forests and supports agricultural and recreational activities, while Teide National Park is a vast UNESCO World Heritage volcanic landscape centered on Mount Teide, Spain’s highest peak, known for its unique geology, endemic species, and stunning natural beauty. Together, they showcase Tenerife’s diverse ecosystems, from lush green corridors to dramatic volcanic terrain, offering visitors a blend of cultural heritage and extraordinary natural wonders.

Star Gazing
The highest road in Tenerife ascends to the base station of the Mount Teide cable car at about 2,356 meters above sea level, making it the highest point accessible by car on the island. From this vantage point within Teide National Park, visitors can enjoy spectacular panoramic views and experience the unique volcanic landscape. The altitude and minimal light pollution create ideal conditions for stargazing, offering some of the clearest and most impressive night skies in Europe. Many visitors combine the drive with a cable car ride up to 3,555 meters for even higher-altitude views, and on clear nights, the park’s dark skies reveal stunning constellations, planets, and the Milky Way, making it a premier destination for astronomy enthusiasts and casual stargazers alike
